About Duo Brotzman/Cardozo

The musicians Pablo Brotzman (harmonica) and Pablo Cardozo (guitar) are the Argentine music duo since 2013. They interpret tangos, waltzes, milongas and Argentine folklore based on arrangements in which elements such as reharmonization and counterpoint interact without clarifying the idea of “Creole” sonority. Influenced by the great exponents of the genre, the Brotzman / Cardozo duo aims to reflect in their repertoire a tango tour of all its stages and the diverse Argentine folk styles. His music proposes a selection of traditional themes of the tango genre and popular Argentinean songs. The duo not only develops musical arrangements, but is also characterized by a harmonious and intuitive interaction that allows practicing improvisations during live performances. About his career In 2015 the duo produced their first record "Tango, Walzer und Milonga", which presented different cultural spaces of Buenos Aires and the interior of Argentina. Also in 2015 they undertook their first international tour through Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Poland. In 2016 they make their second European tour and present their second album "Tango Tour" to the public in Germany, Poland and Holland. In 2018, the duo are sponsored by the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs to present their third international tour in October. Until 2020 the duo is preparing their new album "Sighs from Buenos Aires" and their fourth European tour between January and February. In 2022 the duo, together with Jorge Cordone (guitarist of Edmundo Rivero and Roberto Grela), presents a new disc material "Tango", this new work includes tangos in trio format as well as solo performances by the performers. In the months of May and June 2022 the Brotzman Cardozo Duo will perform their 5th international tour after two years.
